The votes are in! Ron Mann's documentary Go Further is a hit with audiences at this year's Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), garnering First Runner Up in the AGF People's Choice Award, announced on Sunday, September 14. Voted on by festival audiences, this award is particularly gratifying for film makers, and shows that the appetite for the documentary form is stronger than ever. Go Further had two sold-out Special Presentation screenings during TIFF, with rush line-ups forming hours before the screenings, and disappointed movie-goers being turned away from the filled-to-capacity theatres. The film, which follows actor/activist Woody Harrelson as he travels down the Pacific Coast Highway connected with Toronto audiences through its message of sustainable organic living. A free outdoor yoga class with Woody Harrelson and the cast of Go Further drew close to 2,000 people to the University of Toronto and garnered international media attention. Go Further has been invited to numerous other film festivals around the world, including the prestigious Berlin Film Festival.
